Directions

  1. Cook around 2 cups of uncooked rice. Easiest with a rice cooker; generally you want about enough to fill two bowls worth of rice. Use the chicken broth instead of water, and add enough Louisiana for the rice to turn a little pink when it's done.
  2. Mix all of the ingredients from the "sauce" section in a container that's easy to pour from.
  3. When the rice is done, brown the sausage in a pan on medium-high. (If you've made taco meat before, this is roughly the same process)
  4. Once the sausage has been browned, add the sauce to the pan. Be sure to mix it around.
  5. Cook the sausage/sauce mixture until the sauce reduces. It won't reduce all the way, but it'll get close— mainly pay enough attention to be sure you don't burn it.
  6. Serve. Generally, put it together in this order: Rice (75%)→ Sausage (25%)→ Seeds (Sprinkled)→ Green Onion

Serves roughly two people. Maybe three.
